
At 12:01 A.M. Saturday morning the fourth and likely final installment in the wildly popular Twilight series hit bookstores. The series -- which follows the adventures of teenage Bella, the vampire Edward, and the werewolf Jacob -- is being heralded as a successor to Harry Potter by booksellers. There are over 5 million copies of the previous three titles -- Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse -- in print. Parties were held at bookstores across the country to celebrate the release of Breaking Dawn. A movie version of the first novel is due in December is directed by Catherine Hardwicke (Thirteen) and stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Nikki Reed.
